EIGHT FLAP-PLASTY - A NEW METHOD OF LOCAL PLASTIC OPERATION

This work is devoted a new way of the local-plastic operation, based on principles Z-plasty for repair of postburn extremities' contracture with a long scar crest which is named by authors an eightflap plasty. The given way is developed on the basis of experience of treatment of 255 patients with postburn scar contracture of 142 large joints and 356 fingers in the various ways of local-plastic operations. The way of an eight-flap plasty is approved at 8 patients with postburn scar contracture of large joints (6) and fingers (2). The remote results studied at 6 patients, have shown good efficiency of a way. Authors have come to conclusion that a way of an eight-flap plasty expanding an arsenal of ways, increases possibilities of local-plastic operations and is alternative to difficult kinds of reconstructive operations for repair of postburn contracture with a long scar crest.
