Reproductive health of girls with diffuse nontoxic goiter
The authors studied the status of the reproductive system of 87 girls with age from 8 to 16 years, of which 67 patients with diffuse nontoxic goiter and 20 girls without a thyroid gland. According to the clinical and morphological criterias, patients were differentiated into three groups: I group consisted of 34 girls with euthyroid goitre, II - 18 patients with autoimmune component and III - 15 girls with subclinical hypothyroidism. Studies indicate poor quality of reproductive health of girls with a leading value of thyroid pathology. Autoimmune component and subclinical hypothyroidism are regarded as prognostic markers of pathology of reproductive system in girls.
