Age aspects of operations in congenital cleft palate
The authors analyzed published findings dealing cleft palate plasty timing, in order to rehabilitation improve of such patients. Early performing of uranoplasty has good effects on speech, the state of upper respiratory tract, middle ear and the overall development. Time factor for uranoplasty is not the main factor causing the development of upper jaw deformities, and more important role belongs to the technique of surgery (traumatization, leaving of open wound surfaces).
