Comparative estimation of pathology of hard dental tissue and periodontium in patients with chronic renal failure in chronic pyelonephritis and glomerulonephritis
The authors studied the pathology of hard dental tissues and periodontium in 58 patients with chronic renal failure (CRF), depending on the etiological factors: 34 patients with chronic renal failure in acute stage of glomerulonephritis (first group) and 24 - with chronic renal failure with acute pyelonephritis (the second group) The control group consisted of 20 healthy individuals.
Pathologic changes in the oral cavity in patients with chronic pyelonephritis and glomerulonephritis have a different character of currency. In patients with CRF by chronic pyelonephritis have significantly higher inflammation (64,3%) of the oral mucosa compared with the second (32,0%) and control groups (3,7%). In first group of patients often occurred diseases of hard dental tissues and changes in the bone structure of alveolar processes (respectively in the studied groups – 73,3%, 22,4% and 4,3%).
