Renal pathology in gout

The authors are presented the data of the literature on renal disease in patients with gout. Special attention was paid to the relationship of purine metabolism and features of renal disorders. The relationship between the level of uric acid and renal function is mentioned in the context of the so-called gouty nephropathy – kidney disease in gout. Continually increasing interest in this problem in recent years, the development of modern technologies and a growing number of serious studies on gout and renal diseases will be well predict for the progressive expansion of our knowledge and clinical features.
