The outcomes of observations 48 patients with diabetic gangrene undergoing high amputation of the lower extremities, which for immunocorrection were accomplished intravenous laser exposure of blood (ILEB) is presented in this report.

Applying this approach by studying the immune system in only 4 of the 48 cases were noted wound infection.

Changes characteristics of IgG (765,4±14,0 – before treatment and 969,4±12,9 – after treatment) and IgM (546,5±15,6 and 700,4±17,3, respectively) were significant by comparison with immunoglobulin A, which had not a statistically significant change after the sessions of laser therapy (p>0.05).

The receiving data indicate that ILEB, begun before the amputation, and after its performance in the next 7-10 days, providing a significant change in immune status of the patients.
