In the present article is provided a literature review on immune disturbances in liverpathology. The discussed issues concerning the underlying causes and mechanisms of hepatocellular

insufficiencydevelopment.the clinical significance of integralhaematological indices in obstructive jaundice isdescribed.

It is shown that there is a reduction of cellular and humoral immunitysystem, the phagocytic ability of leukocytes, bactericidal action of serum, as well as other indicators of non-specific resistance of organism. In postoperative period is noted reducing of immune response, which is manifested in decreasing number of T- and B-lymphocytes, pronounced decrease of phagocytic activity in leukocytes, hypoimmunoglobulinemia with disturbance of ratio between the fractions is due by increasing the content of IgA and IgM, and decreasing level ofIgG in the blood and bile.

Keywords: obstructive jaundice, immunity , hepatocellular insufficiency, integral hematological indices.
