The review presents the results of research by Russian and foreign scientists, which are devoted to the diagnosis of bone metabolism disorders resulting in osteoporosis. Researchers have identified two groups of bone metabolism markers: markers of bone formation and bone resorption markers. In article makes references to use of mentioned biochemical indicators in the diagnosis of osteoporosis as well as to evaluate the efficacy of antiresorptive therapy
Keywords: osteoporosis, bone formation markers, markers of bone resorption, bone remodeling.
