The review analyzed in detail the etiology, pathogenesis, clinical manifestations, diagnostic criteria for complex chronic suppurative otitis media (mezotimpanit, attic disease meso-attic disease) and sensorineural hearing loss, various forms and degrees of hearing impairment in chronic middle ear disease. Based on the study of research papers covering clinical and audiological examination, found that the conductive form of hearing impairment on basis of chronic otitis media, regardless of the various forms of treatment and preventive measures in the late period, over time, leads to a more severe form of sensorineural hearing loss. Many issues associated with the early diagnosis of sensorineural hearing loss component in patients with chronic otitis media, and conducting adequate therapy require further decisions.

Keywords: conductive and sensorineural hearing loss, chronic otitis media , mezotimpanit, attic disease.
