New method of surgical treatment of amnioticband syndrome

Work is devoted to the surgical treatment of amniotic band syndrome in 17 patients. Total in patients 29 large segments of limbs were affected. Depending on the deformity localization patients were divided into 2 groups: I group – with fingers affection of hand and feet (total of 5 hands and 3 feet); II group – 21 large segment of extremities (8 of upperand 13 of lower extremity). In the present study a new method to correction of amniotic band of large limb segments was proposed – «coronary» eight-flap plasty, which claims to be the «gold standard» in the surgical treatment of amniotic band syndrome.
