Analysis frequency of occurence and risk factors for community-acquired pneumonia in militaryin Tajikistan

The paper analyzes the frequency of occurrence and risk factors for community-acquired pneumonia (CAP) in the military (M), drafting from different regions of the Republic of Tajikistan (RT), and civilians (C) from place of residence.

Most often patients admittedto hospital from Khatlon region (M / C – 26,4% and 21,4%), regions of Republican Subordination (RRS) (24,5% and 24,2%) and Sughd region (24,5% and 15,7%). High percentage of admission of M to hospital noted from Dushanbe garrison, military units stationed in the RRS, training unit (15,7%). Military men in first year of service 2 times more hadincidence with respect to M of 2 years of service (51,2% versus 26,5%). The highest percentage of incidence occurs in 3-6 months of service (34,7%). Incidence during autumn draft of recruits prevailed over the incidence of spring period - the 387 (69,5%) against 170 men (30,5%). The main risk factors in M compared with C were hypothermia, dust, large families, lack of body weight, cigarette smoking and nasvaya.
