Combined antibacterial therapy of acute purulent cholangitis

This paper analyzes the results of a comprehensive microbiological examination of bile and bile duct biopsy specimens from 102 patients with purulent cholangitis, while in 87 of them were found different types of microflora, among which were the prevailed Gram-negative bacteria (n=53; 61%) with a predominance of anaerobic component (n=37; 42,5%).

Inclusion in complex intensive care of post-decompression period an intraportal andintracholedochal administration of antibiotics (n=58) greatly improved the outcome of therapy results of patients with purulent cholangitis due to the direct impact on the pathological focus.

Integrated antibiotic therapy of patients with APC by proposed scheme has reduced the frequency of postoperative mortality to 10,3%.
