Main factors determining primary disability in the Republic of Tajikistan

In the article reflected a number of medical and social aspects of primary disability (PD) as an important component of public health of the country. From 2010 to 2014 in Tajikistan social health survey passed 109,429 people, of whom 52 897 persons for the first time received the status of a disabled person. The structure of the PD:male were 31885 (60%), female - 21,514 (40%). According to official statisticsat the beginning of 2015 demographics disability in Tajikistan amounted to 2-2,5%. In social security agencies registered 165 thousand persons with disabilities, of which 24 thousandare children. Analysis of PD on disability groups shows a significant prevalence of disabilities of group II (n=26107; 52,4%) over the contingents of group III (n=18467; 37%) and group I (n=5244; 11%).

According to 2014 among nosological groups that led to the disability areprevailed nervous system diseases (21,8%), mental disorders (18,8%), diseases of the musculoskeletal system (13,8%), cardiovascular (12, 6%) and cancer (10,2%).
