The current epidemiologic situation of vaccine-preventable infections among residents of Bishkek

The analysis of the epidemiological situation of vaccine-preventableinfections in the city of Bishkek. The introduction of mass immunization had a positive impact on the incidence and prevalence of infections such as rubeola, rubella, parotitis, diphtheria, pertussis in Bishkek.

For epidemic parotitis is characterized by «growing up» infection and risk groups are the age groups 15-19, 20-29 and 30 and older, which confirms the need for the introduction of revaccination against this infection.

The incidence ofrubeola in Bishkek is characterized by periodic epidemical ictus in 1997, 1998, 2011, and in some years full its absence.

Despite the ongoing routine immunization against pertussis incidence remains high and annually in Bishkek recorded of 86 cases of pertussis an average, which is high for vaccine-preventable infections.

Immunoprophylaxis had strong and qualitative effect on the incidence of rubella when the level of intensive index fell from 230,6 to 0,10/0000, and in some years rubella infection could not be detected at all.

After the introduction of vaccination against diphtheria epidemic situation of the incidence of the most prosperous and since 2007 the infection is not registered.
