RADICAL REMOVAL OF A SOURCE OF DISSEMINATED PERITONITIS IN PATIENTS WITH DISEASES OF HOLLOW ORGANS

Results of the complex diagnosis and treatment of 124 patients with surgical diseases of the stomach, small intestine, as well as post-operative complications of hollow organs of abdominal cavity in conditions of disseminated peritonitis (DP) were analyzed. In 84 (67.74%) cases, DP primary arouse as a consequence of surgical complication of diseases of stomach and small intestine and in 40 (32.26%) cases - as complication in the background of early conducted various operative interference. Treatment of DP requires differentiated surgical approach taking into ac-count the stage of disease, data of APACHE II and International Peritoneal Index scales, as well as character of pathology that caused peritonitis. Timely and radical removal of source of intraabdominal infection in DP allows avoiding progression of the disease and multiorgan failures.
