The results of rotational moment measurement in friction units of endoprosthesis «Ilsa» are presented. It was shown that the used pair of friction provides reception of torque, comparable to the natural healthy joint. The calculated data show that with by help of implants not only the joint mobility can be fully restored, but torque of a healthy natural joint can be exceeded. It was found that a head covered by titanium oxide ceramics has better tribological properties and is promising for implementation. Described mechanism of failure of metal-polymer friction units reveals reason for the sharp increase of friction in metal-polymer pairs, which indicates the need to increase its resistance to the destruction of the forces of friction.

Keywords: joint implants, titanium ceramics , friction coefficient, the coefficient of restitution in joint mobility.
