Current state of the treatment ulcer bleeding of stomach and duodenum

In a review article the current state of treatment of acute ulcer gastroduodenal bleeding (GDB)is analyzed.The annual incidence of peptic ulcer (PU) reached 0,17%. The most common complication of ulcer is GDB, the frequency of which varied from 20 to over 100 cases per 100 000 population by findings of some authors. The most important method for the diagnosis and treatment of ulcer bleeding (UB) is esophagoduodenoscopy. The recurrence rate of gastroduodenal UB different and is classified by Forrest. Effective treatment of GDB is significantly increased by using a combination of endoscopic hemostasis or surgical treatment using antisecretory drugs.
