Analysis and comparison of complications after coronary artery stenting, depending on the timing of antiplatelet therapy and the type of implanted stent carried out in this article. The results showed clinical and angiographic success of the procedure in 70 (87,5%) from 80 patients. Unsatisfactory results of stenting were: fatal case – 1 (1,2%), restenosis – 6 (7,5%) and occlusion – 3 (3,7%). Most cases of restenosis (n=6) are in the first month of cancellation antiplatelet therapy, and 3 cases of occlusion – a 6-month period. Comparison of complications with the type of implanted stent showed that the greatest number of complications (3 restenosis and occlusion 3) observed in standard metal stent implantation type BxSonic.

Expediency of prolonged antiplatelet therapy with «Plavix» within 1 year after stenting and stent implantation with the «coating» is confirmed by the normalization of fibrinogen level, blood and plasma viscosity.
