Role of course «Pharmaceutical information» in training pharmacists

Preconditions to appearance of the course «Pharmaceutical Information» in the preparation of pharmacists have seen. The key role of the pharmaceutical information centers in the present conditions of social development and health are revealed.

The structure of the course «Pharmaceutical Information» with rationale selection of topics is given. A plan of practical classes in pharmaceutical information for 3rd year students of full-time Faculty of Pharmacy is developed.  

It is proved that the presence of relevant knowledge and skills necessary for modern pharmacist for the following activities: dispensing of medicines, patient counseling; development of preclinical and clinical studies; conducting of pharmacoeconomic studies, the regulation of trafficking of drugs, the development the principles of rational and effective use of medicines; analysis of information on drug interactions and adverse events of drugs.
